Do you own a Toyota Rush? Toyota Motor Philippines recently announced it is recalling local units of its popular mini-SUV produced from April 2, 2018 to February 7, 2019 due to a defect in the electric control units (ECU) of the vehicle’s airbags. A special service campaign to replace the Airbag Computer Assembly at no cost is now ongoing covering all 12,124 Toyota Rush units officially sold in the Philippines.

Accordingly, due to inappropriate airbag computer programming of the involved units, the Curtain Shield Airbags may deploy upon impact on the rear wheel. All Toyota Rush units being sold in the Philippines come equipped with curtain shield airbags.

Toyota Motor Philippines will notify concerned customers through Official Notification Letters. Customers may bring their unit at any authorized Toyota dealer. Read details below.
