Former Senator Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel, Jr. visited today, June 30, the unfinished Cagayan de Oro International Convention Center in Taguanao, Indahag and wants it named in honor of the late former City Mayor Pablo ‘Ambing’ Magtajas.
Photo below shows Pimentel being wheeled into the building by City Mayor Oscar Moreno.
It can be recalled that the facility was built on a land previously owned by the late mayor.
Completion of the said facility has long been delayed since the project was initiated by Senator Pimentel himself way back in 2001. And almost two decades later, construction is still ongoing and is now reportedly 88% done with construction cost now nearing P1 billion. Browse over some photos below.
