Some 30 former rebels are now enrolled on carpentry and masonry courses by TESDA-Bukidnon as endorsed by the 8th Infantry Battalion Headquarters based at Impasug-ong, Bukidnon for their livelihood.
They are joined by 10 Cafgu Active Auxiliary (CAA) in the program which will have a separate duration of 33 days for carpentry and 25 days for masonry.
According to TESDA-Bukidnon Provincial Director, Kotie R. Bax, the courses will enhance their skills in carpentry and masonry which will help them and their families for a new beginning after coming back to the fold of government.
Lt. Col. Ronald Illana, the commander of the 8th Infantry Battalion, is in full support of the program which is an opportunity for the former rebels to open new doors.
