A portion of Masterson Avenue specifically along the stretch across Shell near Cahulogan Square is one of the most flood-prone areas in Uptown Cagayan de Oro whenever it rains.

A heavy rain Sunday afternoon, June 16, caused again flooding in the said area as shown below. Since it was a Sunday, traffic was a non-issue but it could be worse if this occurred during school days.

Since Masterson Avenue is considered a National Road, concerned government agencies should have addressed this concern prior to the rainy season.
