Here’s one for nature lovers. A hawksbill sea turtle, a critically endangered sea turtle, has just laid some 165 eggs on a beach at Duka Bay in Medina, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. The exciting news was shared in Facebook by Duka Bay Resort.
The incident took place at around 7:00pm, Monday night, June 3 during high tide. Because the eggs were laid just below the high tide level, DENR representatives had to delicately relocate them to higher ground. The eggs could hatch in a few months.
