A new 30-hectare estate south of downtown Cagayan de Oro is being planned as a mixed-use district that can serve as the southern terminus to the growth corridor emerging from the city’s downtown area.

This proposal was revealed thru architect Joel Luna’s website where he indicated that his firm Joel Luna Planning and Design (JLPD) and Archiglobal Inc. were tapped as masterplanners for the said project which has a unique feature of a dramatic 90-meter cliff overlooking the mighty Cagayan de Oro River. As captioned by the architect and shown in the rendering below, the said development will have a unique cliff-side retail dining and entertainment which will serve as a new destination that can catalyze the development of mixed market residential and commercial uses.

There are no details as to the exact location of this property as well as the name of the project proponent, but it gave a clue – “South of downtown Cagayan de Oro with a 90-meter cliff overlooking Cagayan de Oro River“. You can start looking over at Google maps now.

By the way, Joel Luna is a former Chief Architect, VP and Head of Ayala Land, Inc.’s Innovation and Design Group.

Keep posted.
