Cezar Sayosay from Cagayan de Oro City broke the Philippine National Record in Constant Weight No-Fins (CNF) in the just concluded Philippine Depth National Championship (PDNC) 2019 held May 18-19 in Panglao, Bohol.

Sayosay who’s also a free diving instructor at Cebu-based Orca Freedivers Philippines descended to a depth of 45 meters to break the national record of 42 meters set by Martin Zapanta. See below.

Constant Weight No-Fins (CNF) requires the freediver to descend and ascend along the dive-line without using fins, without changing their weighting, without using the rope (except once at the bottom to turn) and without assistance of any kind. It’s the most physically and technically demanding of the depth disciplines because it requires a high rate of work and a long dive-time.
