Going into the final two weeks of vacation and the election fever now fading, it’s back to business in Cagayan de Oro City.
And normalcy means the weekend traffic is back. It’s also enrollment time and students are slowly going back to their dorms, boarding houses, apartments and other domiciles. New students from other places are also in the thick of looking for boarding houses and other places to stay in the city. With four major universities and several colleges, the city is also a center for education. Meanwhile, the city also welcomes fresh graduates looking for jobs, migrant workers, tourists, vacationers and transients who contribute to foot traffic in the city’s commercial establishments.
And with the planned Metro Cagayan de Oro by 2025 now nearing, it is the best time for the newly elected city officials to prepare for such eventuality.
