A section of one of the eastbound lanes of the Kauswagan-Puntod Bridge Approach is now closed to traffic due to some road works. This puzzles many motorists who pass this route everyday and did not notice any long stretch which needs immediate repair so far except for two small broken paved blocks located at least 500 meters away going west.
As shown below, road closure has already been implemented onsite. A single back hoe was observed onsite with a long stretch of the approach (about 50 meters beginning from the bridge structure) already punched with holes in preparation of its removal perhaps for re-blocking. There’s also no billboard observed onsite stating what the project is. Traffic in the area has been light to moderate so the road work has not affected vehicular traffic so far.
