The delegation from Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) finished the just concluded 2019 Palarong Pambansa in Davao City with 17 golds, 27 silvers and 26 bronze medals, good for 8th place, slipping two notches from last year’s 6th place finish in Ilocos Sur.
Nevertheless, Northern Mindanao produced exceptional performances in several sporting events bagging championship in Elementary Boys Swimming, Elementary Boys Sepak Takraw, Elementary Boys Baseball and Boxing. See the final medal tally below.
Notable individual performances include 5-gold winner Nimrod Montera in swimming and long jumper John Mike Lera with a new Palaro record.
In team events, NorMin’s elementary baseball team and elementary boys swimming team reigned supreme. NMRAA is still the powerhouse in boxing with 4 golds. Photo credits to the owners.

In swimming, Anton Rafaele Malayang finished with 2 golds and 4 silver medals.
