Royal Australian Navy officer Lieutenant Christian Aca-Ac, a native of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines is the lone Filipino in the Australian delegation during the recent Balikatan 19, a major international military exercise in the Philippines.
Aca-ac is a nursing graduate of Xavier University and is now an Australian registered nurse officer in the Royal Australian Navy. Aca-ac is part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Special Forces, medical, engineering, and chaplaincy personnel which took part in the Balikatan which was jointly hosted by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and United States Indo-Pacific Command. This year’s Balikatan focused on the ability to respond effectively to humanitarian and civic assistance events and security operations in South East Asia.
