A large billboard of the proposed BUKIDNON SPORTS AND CULTURAL COMPLEX can now be seen in Brgy. Laguitas, Malaybalay City.
As shown below, an artist’s perspective of the proposed development is shown in the billboard which includes the track oval, swimming pool and other associated facilities.
It can be recalled that in December 2017, Bukidnon Gov. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri Jr. confirmed that Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri has allotted P250 million for the construction of the provincial sports complex. The provincial government likewise will allot additional P250 million to cover land acquisition. Accordingly, a standard sports complex costs some P500 million. Back then, they were still choosing between Malaybalay and Valencia City for the site of the complex. (SOURCE)
With the recent development, it seems they chose Malaybalay City as the site for the sports complex.
