Archbishop Antonio Javellana Ledesma, SJ of the Archdiocese of Metropolitan Cagayan de Oro will turn 76 on March 28, 2019 and is currently awaiting orders from the Vatican for his successor.

Archbishop Ledesma reached the mandatory retirement age of 75 last year but no successor has so far been appointed by the Vatican to replace him. Born in Iloilo City, Ledesma was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro in 2006,
