The first ever Planetarium in Mindanao and just the third in the country will finally rise soon with the groundbreaking ceremony set this Friday, March 15 at a half-hectare area in Molugan, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
In an article at Mindanao Daily News, the P50 million Planetarium project which will be managed by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) will feature state-of-the-art full dome projector that mimics a 3D reality minus the special glasses. It will also feature a slight tilt of the chair to create an impression of the vastness of space.
