Grade 6 completers for school year 2018-2019 will have a graduation ceremony. This was clarified by the Department of Education (DepEd) after an erroneous DepEd Order posted at its website which stated that only Grade 12 completers will have a graduation ceremony caused confusion particularly among schools.

Based on DepEd Memorandum No. 025, series of 2019 dated March 1, 2019 (see below), Education Secretary Leonor Briones clarified that the end of school year rites for Grade 6 completers for SY 2018-2019 shall be a graduation ceremony as stated under DepEd Order No. 002, series of 2019. As shown below, the reported moving-up ceremony for Grade 6 completers is accordingly still under discussion by the Executive Committee. DepEd further states that if such is approved, it will be announced with sufficient lead time.

Meanwhile, Kindergarten and Grade 10 completers shall have a Moving Up or Completion Ceremony. See below the end of school year rites for the different levels as stated under DepEd Order No. 002, series of 2019.
