Expect slowdown of traffic flow for several months with the closure of the several lanes of a section of CM Recto Avenue in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City which started today for the Kolambog Bridge Project.
As illustrated below, work on Phase 1 (color RED) of the bridge project which includes its approaches will start right after Cebu Southern Motors (Isuzu Cagayan de Oro) and end in the vicinity of Kolambog proper. Along this section of CM Recto, all vehicles will be diverted to the other lanes. In Phase 2, it will be the other way around with closure of the other lanes and 2-way traffic on the finished approach.
However, a source said DPWH started Phase 2 instead today where the westbound lanes were closed.

Motorists are advised of the traffic slowdown in the area as construction is expected to last for several months. The Kolambog Bridge Project is funded by the national government.
