Looking for a new and refreshing place to chill? There’s a new restaurant and bar just minutes from the city proper of Cagayan de Oro with a view of the countryside. ERNESTO CAFE AND BAR is located in Gango, Libona, Bukidnon, just a few hundred meters from Indahag Proper.
As shown in the map below, Ernesto Cafe & Bar is right along the Cagayan de Oro-Libona Road. After Indahag Proper, you’ll pass by the DPWH Marker (see map) indicating the boundary between Cagayan de Oro (Brgy. Indahag) and Libona (Brgy. Gango). If you don’t have a ride, you can commute via jeepneys (Cagayan-Kiliog and Cagayan-Kinawe Liner) with terminals beside Motormate along Archbishop Hayes Street near Maria Reyna Hospital.
Ernesto Cafe and Bar has been on soft opening on December 8, 2018 and offers a good ambiance with an overlooking view of the countryside, yet just a minutes away from the city. At the moment, they’re offering affordable finger foods and some full meals including your much needed coffee break and some of your favorite frappes. But they will be serving a full menu including full meals soon particularly during its grand opening set some time in February.
By the way, they serve breakfast on weekends (Saturdays, Sundays).
Its cottages are also uniquely designed and offer only a small table so guests will have to squat and feel the bamboo flooring.
Another unique feature is its entrance which could find its way into your IG feed. By the way, entrance fee is only P10.
Even its cottages are worth the background for your profile pic.
Here’s a sample of the countryside view of the mineral-rich Gango area.
Meanwhile, Cagayan de Oro can be seen in the horizon.
The Cagayan de Oro-Libona Road is well-paved with two lanes so accessibility is not a problem.
At night, the place becomes a bar.
