Travel time from Iligan City to Bukidnon and vice versa, without passing Cagayan de Oro City, is now reduced by two (2) hours through the Sta. Felomina-Bonbonon-Digkilaan-Rogongon Road which connects Iligan City and the municipality of Talakag in Bukidnon.

The 60.40 kilometer road section is part of the Mindanao East-West Lateral Road that involves opening and concreting of roads with cross drainage, safety road improvements and lined canal. It traverses Iligan barangays of Sta. Filomena, San Roque, Bonbonon, Digkilaan and Rogongon. The road connects to Ticalaan Crossing. See map below.

Although the new road is already passable and nearly completed, there are still some areas that are still unfinished.
