Top international engineering firm Arup has been tapped by Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. (AIC), the infrastructure unit of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) to serve as consultant for the technical studies and master plan of its P42.7-billion unsolicited proposal to take over Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental.

It can be recalled that the Aboitiz conglomerate submitted an unsolicited proposal to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) last year to develop and operate Laguindingan Airport. Read link below.

Now, in a press release (LINK), the group is optimistic the project proposal will finally take off this year.
