Construction of the Christ The King Shrine in Samay, Gingoog City is now 60% complete.

As shown in the photos below (courtesy of RD Leisurefarm), the upper part of the 75-foot high statue is already done while the lower half which forms part of the robe is still under construction. In the background is Mt. Balatukan.

A growing religious site and being promoted as part of faith tourism, nearly 3,000 pilgrims have visited the site in December 2018 alone.

There is no timetable for the completion which depends on generous donations of the faithful.
