pOngoing developments at Cagayan de Oro Port as well as the continued construction of the New Opol Port ushers well in the new year for the Port Management Office’s continuous improvement to further enhance its operating performance.
For Cagayan de Oro Port, the new 6-lane electronic multi-gate system near Gate 3 (Agora Entrance) is now 68% complete. A similar electronic gate system will also be put up at Gate 6 with direct access to the Coastal Road. Meanwhile, the P277 million New Passenger Terminal Building is nearly 86% done and is slated to be completed early next year. On the other hand, the P264 million New Opol Port is almost 96% done and will start operating in the first quarter of 2019.
