Two startup entries from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro City has made the semifinals in the ongoing 5th Philippine Startup Challenge.
USTP’s BFree of Technovators and Filipino Time of Catulong Team were among the Top 30 semifinalists announced by digital.PH today (see below)
B-Free is an innovation by USTP student Ericke Gallardo where one can use his/her smartphone without charging thru a special cellphone casing which allows charging without the use of wire adaptors.
Gallardo’s invention was presented during last month’s Innovation Forum.
Meanwhile, Capulong Team’s Filipino Time is a mobile app which serves as an alarm that assists the user to eliminate tardiness especially in appointments or group meetings. It also comes with a built-in mini game.
