The comfort food restaurant concept in Cagayan de Oro continues with FAT CHEF RESTAURANT which opens later today, December 15, 2018 at 5pm.
Conveniently located along Antonio Luna Extension near Goodyear Servitek (see map below), Fat Chef serves a wide variety of delectable home-cooked Filipino dish which will certainly satisfy gastronomes.
A formal blessing and inauguration was held this morning attended by friends and family of the owners and other invited guests.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony followed. Did you notice the large main entrance door?
The Rodriguez siblings who basically love the kitchen cut the ribbon for their first ever restaurant venture.
The blessing followed.
The restaurant’s interior has a homey and cozy ambience and its relatively high ceiling concept creates a spacious and comfortable atmosphere for diners.
It also has large windows which provide natural lighting.
Note the unique design at the counter.
As you can see, Fat Chef has multiple levels.
The upper levels house function rooms for meetings, events and other functions.
There is also a small function room at the ground floor.
But the much larger function rooms in the upper levels are still not available as interior works are still ongoing.
Perhaps, these function rooms could be available by next year.
A bar with a view deck is also being planned at the upper level.
This could yet become another favorite night spot.
But first, here’s the menu. All food on the menu are delicious but their signature dish are Sizzling Sinigang, Talong Kinilaw sa Gata, Crispy Bicol Express and Bulalo with Beef Tendon Soup which was served during the blessing.
Talong Kinilaw is a must-try.
The Mango Suman Float was the dessert.
Here’s a large signage of Fat Chef.
Parking isn’t difficult. The large driveway and parking area can accommodate 50 cars.

Guess what, the first 10 tables during opening get a 20% discount.
