The 17-kilometer Alae Bypass Road Project is now 89.9% complete. This is based on the latest project update by the Department of Public Works and Highways Region-X.

The P1.96 billion project will serve as an alternate highway connecting Barangay Alae in Manolo Fortich to Barangay Casinglot in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental right in front of the Mindanao International Container Terminal (MICT). Cargo trucks from Bukidnon can bypass Sayre Highway (Puerto-Alae Section) in going to MICT. It’s being targeted for completion in July 2019 and it will reduce travel time to and from Alae, Bukidnon and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental by one hour.
