When we first posted about Bukidnon’s ‘Hobbit House’ last May 31 this year, it wasn’t done yet but the trending photos of a real-life Hobbit House located nearby elicited curiosity and interest among netizens.

The Hobbit House is just part of a larger ecological development called Mt. Kitanglad Agro-Eco Farm located at Barangay Imbayao in Malaybalay City. For an affordable entrance fee of P50, you can have free coffee, farm tour, forest trek, hobbit home photo ops and other activities within the 22-hectare farm and marvel at nature’s preserve. And of course, the Hobbit House isn’t just a prop, you can also sleep inside (overnight) for a small fee of P100. You can also inquire at its Facebook page HERE or call 0955-287-5279 or 0936-500-4147.

Here’s a map for direction. From Sayre Highway, turn right to Diversion Road. Upon reaching the New Northern Mindanao Drug Rehab Center, turn right towards Brgy. Imbayao. You will pass by a large pineapple field by Del Monte. Upon reaching Imbayao Proper, turn left right after Imbayao Elementary School. The site is more or less 11 kilometers from the New Drug Rehab Center. If you’re commuting, just tell the bus driver to drop you off at Casisang Elementary School along Sayre Highway. There, you can ride motorcycles to the site for P100. See the map below.
