Travelers between Cagayan de Oro and Malaybalay Cities have taken the scenic Talakag-Lantapan-Aglayan Road as alternate route to avoid the traffic brought about by the continued one lane alternate traffic along Sayre Highway near San Vicente, Sumilao, Bukidnon.

The route however is longer but traffic-free and also allows you to have a scenic view of the Kitangland and Kalatungan Mountain Ranges. The whole stretch is also paved with 2-lanes. See the route map below. Note the blasting area at upper right where long lines of vehicles have delayed motorists since Saturday.

In taking the Talakag route, many made a stopover at Bonseta’s Fun Fun Rides and Donggawon View Deck which are located along the route. Read our old post below.

Single lane traffic has been opened by the DPWH at the blasting area site since yesterday. Commuters taking the bus have no other option but to allocate longer travel time.
