Cagayan de Oro Water District’s (COWD) eastern service area is expected to improve with the completion of the rehabilitation and retrofitting works of its 5.3 million liter capacity Camaman-an Reservoir.

The turnover ceremony of the said facility was held last Friday, November 9 and will boost water supply service in Lapasan, Gusa, Cugman, Baloy towards Tablon including Camaman-an and Limketkai Center. The retrofitting works were undertaken in preparation of the additional 20 MLD supply of water from the Cagayan de Oro Bulk Water Inc. (COBI). Accordingly, the reservoir work is part of the P251 million water supply improvement project which includes the ongoing 9-kilometer pipeline along the South Diversion Road traversing Taguanao, Macasandig and Camaman-an.

Present during the turn-over were executives of Metropac Water Investments, COBI officers headed by its President, Atty. Laurence R. Rogero, COWD officers headed by Board Chairman Eduardo Montalvan, City Mayor Mayor Oscar S. Moreno and some members of the City Council.
