The widespread power outage which affected most of Northwestern and Northeastern Mindanao early today was caused by an intentional toppling of vegetation under the Baloi-Agus 2 transmission line. This was announced by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
In an advisory, NGCP stated this was the result of its initial investigation. Further, all transmission lines were restored except for the Agus 2 – Baloi line, which is still being cleared of the intentionally toppled vegetation. Read the advisory below.
