The House of Hope, a charitable custodial psychiatric care facility located in Barangay Lumbia and being managed by the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro is set for a major upgrade. This after the property has been formally transferred to the city government through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) recently signed last October 15.
The facility is also set for expansion after the heirs of the Escaño family donated nearly half a hectare right beside it. Full details in the article below.
Signing for the MOA were City Mayor Oscar Moreno, Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma, Escano Estate representative Madame Emelita B. Almirante, House of Hope Foundation Chairperson Msgr. Perseus T. Cabunoc, Department of Health Regional Dir. Nimfa B. Torrizo, Northern Mindanao Medical Center Chief of Hospital Dr. Jose C. Chan, and JR Borja General Hospital Acting Chief of Hospital Dr. Ramon M.
