A total of 805 newly appointed police officers in Northern Mindanao took their oath last October 22 at Camp Vicente Alagar in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City. The new police recruits will join the government’s fight against criminality, corruption, terrorism and illegal drugs to ensure public safety and security.

PNP Regional Director PCSupt. Timoteo G. Pacleb administered the oath taking of 595 male and 210 female police officers now with the rank of Police Officer 1 in temporary status. They will receive a basic salary of Php 29,688.00, similar to the regular police officers holding the same rank.

They are now at the Regional Training Center 10 for the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course where they will undergo academic training, Internal Security Operations and defense tactics for 6 months. Upon completing their 6-month training in Public Safety Basic Recruit Course, they will further undergo 6-month Field Training Program in the different provincial/city police offices in PRO 10 as part of their community immersion. All of the police trainees passed the rigorous screening process.
