The old facade of the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Black Nazarene (Jesus Nazareno Parish Church) located along CM Recto Avenue in Cagayan de Oro City will soon have a new look.
This after the facade renovation works formally began with the demolition of the structure right at the church’s main entrance.
Here’s a perspective of the church’s new facade when completed.
The new design resembles an old architectural style common among old churches in the Philippines.
This is the existing facade which has a modern look.
Debris of the demolished structure can still be found at the site.
The church’s interiors including the altar first underwent renovation works.
