Ever been to KATUNGGAN PARK? It’s a small mangrove park located in the southeast part of Camiguin in the town of Benoni, one of the tourist attractions in the island paradise of Northern Mindanao.
As most tourists go north upon disembarking at Benoni Port, why not have a quick stop going south at the eco-tourism park. It’s not that far and is just along the bend after passing Taguines Lagoon. See map below.
Here’s the entrance. P20 entrance fee.

You cannot see the mangrove park from the highway…it’s somewhat hidden…like a treasure.

A long boardwalk guides tourists who enjoy nature…

There are cottages too…where you can enjoy seeing the sunrise or even take a glimpse of Mantigue Island.

Some say it’s a secret place for lovers. Read The Backpack Adventures HERE.

Unlike congested Boracay, Camiguin is still a nature’s paradise. Local officials are trying to preserve its natural wonders as tourist activity has picked up after the closure of Boracay.

Next time you visit Camiguin, drop by Katunggan Park.
