
Construction of the 300-hectare Mindanao Technopark located in Lourdes, Alubijid, Misamis Oriental is expected to start soon after today’s formal ground breaking ceremonies of the 50-hectare Regional Government Center and the 12-hectare Provincial Government Center where the new Provincial Capitol will soon rise.
The associated Project Management Office (PMO) building also included in today’s ceremonies attended by Rep. Maxie Rodriguez, administration and staff of University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) and local officials of Alubijid town.

The activity coincided with USTP’s 2nd founding anniversary.

Cong. Rodriguez co-authored the charter (RA 10919) which created USTP.

According to USTP Vice President for Finance Vanessa Escano as quoted from SunStar CDO, several line government agencies have already expressed interest to relocate at the Regional Government Center. The Mindanao Technopark will soon became the main campus of USTP.
