While everyone is waiting for lamp posts to be installed along the new Coastal Road in Lapasan-Gusa area, motorists along the Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge in Cagayan de Oro City continue to suffer darkness while using the bridge with a long stretch of broken lights along the bridge and access road remained unrepaired.
As shown below, the westbound line of street lights remain in the dark while the eastbound part have their lights on. This have been going on for several months already. This condition has now become a safety concern particularly with some vehicles including large trailer trucks parking along the bridge access road at night. Further, drivers need to be alert at all times throughout the evening due to the presence of trisikads without reflectorized plates.
Taxpayers are asking…where are the lights?
