Cagayan de Oro’s Glenn Palacio has topped the just concluded Wiki Loves Earth Philippines 2018 Photography Contest. The contest gathered more than 2,000 entries and featured quality images of natural heritage sites of the Philippines.

His entry shown below featuring Dioyo River in Baliangao, Misamis Occidental won 1st Prize with P10,000, trophy and certificate.

Meanwhile, his photo below featuring Watershed Forest Reserved in Coron, Palawan bagged the 2nd Prize and P5,000, trophy and certificate.

Glenn’s other photo entries also made the Top 10 in the said photo contest. His photo of Baliangao Protected Landscape/seascape in Misamis Occidental (see below) was good for 4th Place.

The top 10 photos qualify for the international Wiki Loves Earth contest.

Meanwhile, Glenn’s photo of Bohol’s Chocolate Hills made it to the Top 20.

This is the first year that the Philippines is participating in the world photo competition. The local contest ran from May 1 – June 30, 2018, and was organized by PhilWiki Community members.
