The Episcopal Ordination of bishop-elect Fr. Raul Dael is now set on June 7, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral in Cagayan de Oro City. The Catholic hierarchy in the country led by 6 cardinals, 40 bishops and around 500 priests are expected to attend the event which will be witnessed by some 4,000 followers.

It can be recalled that last February 2018, Pope Francis appointed Fr. Raul Dael as the new bishop of Tandag City in Surigao del Sur. He is currently serving as the Vicar for Clergy of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro. Read link below.

Dael was born on October 10, 1966 in Kimaya, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. A son of a fisherman, he completed his Philosophy course at Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City and studied Theology at St. John Vianney Seminary of Theology also in Cagayan de Oro. He was ordained a priest in 1993 and began his ministry as Parochial Vicar of the Metropolitan Cathedral.
