The temporary traffic scheme at RER Junction in Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City has been extended at least at the Petron side as the drainage works being undertaken by Jejors Construction remains unfinished with the impending rainy season just around the corner.

The Savemore side of the drainage work undertaken by Venray Construction was already completed ahead of the May 22 deadline as shown in our previous post below last May 14.

PROJECT WATCH: RER Junction DPWH drainage works update

The drainage project was to be completed in two phases yet Jejors has not finished Phase 1 as shown below.

Work is still on the southbound lanes of RN Pelaez Blvd and has not crossed the northbound lanes which is in Phase 2.

Because of the delay, heavy traffic in the area has affected both motorists and commuters.

With classes opening next week, expect more public disgust on the delayed project.

Keep posted.
