Industrial estate developer Prime Orion Philippines Inc. (POPI) is set to launch the much awaited Laguindingan Industrial Park in Misamis Oriental some time in June this year as it foresees bright prospects in manufacturing and logistics. This was disclosed by Prime Orion president Maria Rowena Manhit-Tomeldan on the sidelines of the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting in Makati City today.
Publicly listed Prime Orion which is now 63.9 percent owned by property giant Ayala Land following a P3 billion share swap in March 2018. In a report from Businessworld, Prime Orion intends to seize opportunities in Cagayan de Oro-Laguindingan’s logistical hub with a 60-100 hectare development of some 42 lots with at least 7,000 sqm area.
It currently has two industrial parks in its portfolio—the 460-hectare Laguna Technopark and the 118-hectare Cavite Technopark.
