For several decades, the majestic Maria Cristina Falls in Iligan City continue to captivate tourists both domestic and foreign.
Located some 9.3 kilometers southwest of the city proper near the boundaries of Barangays Maria Cristina, Ditucalan, and Buru-un, it has a 98-meter drop. Viewers mostly had photos of the waterfall taken from the platform of the powerhouse of the Agus VI Hydroelectric Power Plant which harnesses the mighty Agus River. But rarely do we see the waterfalls’ grandeur from above.
