Cagayan de Oro’s Jio Jalalon scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Magnolia Star Hotshots to a 106-99 win over NLEX Road Warriors early tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to take a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven semi-finals series in the PBA Philippine Cup.

Jalalon joined hands with Ian Sangalang as Magnolia bucked the absence of injured key players Marc Pingris and Justin Melton.

Game 4 is set Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
