Do you know that this year’s month of March has two full moons? A few nights ago, the first full moon occurred last March 1. Based on the Farmer’s Almanac, it is also called as “Worm Moon” because it’s the time of the year when temperatures begin to warm and earthworms appear on the ground (LINK).
Well, it’s also almost summertime in Cagayan de Oro. Here’s a magnificent shot of the Worm Moon in the city courtesy of Project Lupad. By the way, the second full moon will be on March 31 and is called “Blue Moon”.
