Myles Albasin, the 21-year old UP Cebu graduate and Cagayan de Oro native who was captured by government forces early Saturday after an encounter in Negros Oriental was officially charged together with 5 others for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, otherwise known as “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” and of Republic Act No. 9516 or the illegal possession of explosives.

The military recovered several high powered firearms from Albasin’s group which included one M16A1, one M16A1 attached with M203 Grenade launcher, two M4 Rifles, one VLTOR (M16), one AG 43 (M16), rifle grenades, explosives, other war fighting materials, food stuffs and subversive documents.

These were the high-powered firearms recovered from Albasin’s group.
