Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno got back his post Wednesday afternoon after the Court of Appeals (CA) granted his petition to consolidate all anti-graft cases against him including the latest case involving the illegal rental of heavy equipment when he was governor of Misamis Oriental.
In a press conference at City Hall yesterday, Moreno’s counsel lawyer Dale Bryan Mordeno explained that the appellate court’s latest resolution reinstated Moreno as City Mayor. The CA resolution was received Wednesday afternoon, more or less two days after the latest dismissal order from the Ombudsman was served by DILG-10.
