Two suspects in the murder of University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) President Dr. Ricardo Rotoras were arrested in Metro Manila. This was confirmed by the City Prosecutor’s Office last Tuesday afternoon after murder charges were filed against the two alleged gunment.

In a report from Gold Star Daily, Johnreal Abel Gamanay a.k.a. Junrel Gamanay, and Alejandro Ceniza a.k.a. Jun Putot were arrested but for a different murder case in Misamis Occidental. According to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the involvement of the two in the Rotoras case came up during interrogation. Authorities then reportedly brought the suspects in Cagayan de Oro where they were identified by witnesses now under CIDG protection.
