The City Government of Cagayan de Oro will build a four-storey parking building at Divisoria as a means to help decongest the city proper. Accordingly, the project would be funded both by the local and national government through the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and could start within the year if project funding has been assured.
Based on initial info, the multi-million parking facility will rise at the former amphitheater pictured above.
Meanwhile, the City’s Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) is planning to make Divisoria area a walkable zone which they intend to prohibit parking along the streets around the 6-block commercial center.
