While everyone is planning for a Valentine dinner or perhaps lunch date with their loved ones this February, why not invite your friends for a nature trek which is easy on the pocket, relatively easy for beginners, something new and somewhere not so far away.
Mt. Salomayagon in Alubijid town is a less known tourist destination in the province but locals have already identified the place as a tourist site. Although the place is within Alubijid, it is more accessible from nearby Laguindingan town. If you’re riding public transport, just get off at the bus stop in Laguindingan which is near the pedestrian overpass. Look for the motorcycles or habal-habal terminal which is just near the junction. Tell the driver to take you to Barangay Tula which is around 30-45 minutes.
Then the trek begins … just as netizen Mary Cheyserr gladly shared in her Facebook account, the route is good for beginners like her. Still, don’t be complacent as you need some energy for some uphill trekking.
…and then the view….
You can just sit, relax and enjoy the landscape … far from the effects of urban pollution. And you also get to chat with your friends, have some photos and memories to share…
But don’t forget NOT to leave your trash behind. Trash destroys the beauty of nature. See more photos of Mary Cheyserr’s experience in the link below.
