In case you haven’t been to Cogon Market lately, JR Borja Street is now a 2-way traffic from Capt. Vicente Roa Street towards President Quirino Street.
The Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro started the new traffic scheme yesterday.
As observed, many motorists did not know of the new traffic scheme such that the westbound lanes of JR Borja are often free of vehicular traffic. Use of the lanes will eventually increase as time goes by.
RTA personnel were spotted at every intersection along JR Borja Street from Quirino towards Capt. Vicente Roa. The road sections are now free of street vendors.
If you’re going west along JR Borja, left-turns are now prohibited at Quirino, Roxas, Osmena and Capt. Vicente Roa junctions.
With the opening of this portion to 2-way traffic, motorists will not have to take diversion roads in Nazareth or at Justo Ramonal Street to reach Divisoria.
A strictly NO PARKING policy is also being enforced in the area as shown.
