Do you know that the first “zipline” in Cagayan de Oro City did not carry thrill-seeking adventurers? It carried CASH….If you grew up in the city, then you’ll probably thinking about the unique practice by CAGAYAN EDUCATIONAL SUPPLY, one of the oldest school and office supply store in the city.

Now located along Archbishop Hayes Street near Mortola Street, the store still uses its famed and unique ‘wire-system’ to transfer cash payments to a centralized cashier.

Shown below is a photo of the box which hangs on a wire where store employees put cash payments made by customers and then send it to the cashier. The cashier in turn sends the box with the receipt and change (if any) back to the store personnel to give to the customer.
