For several years, motorists in Cagayan de Oro City would often avoid passing thru Cogon Market due to the chaotic traffic, sidewalk vendors and ambulant vendors plying their trade along the streets around the city’s largest public market.

But with the strict implementation and the political will to enforce laws and city ordinances, restoring order in the bustling market district is not just a dream after all. See the comparative photo below of JR Borja Street between September 17, 2017 and the recent photo taken today, January 19, 2018. Hopefully, this will be sustained and motorists won’t have to think twice in going thru this part of the city.
