Bukidnon-pride and top mountaineer CARINA DAYONDON, a graduate of Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City and formerly of XU-Ateneo Mountaineering Society (XU-AMS) is aiming to complete the Seven Summits, a rare feat in climbing the highest peaks in the world’s seven continents.

So far, the 38-year-old Dayondon who is also a second lieutenant in the Philippine Coast Guard has already climbed Mt. Everest (Asia’s and world’s highest peak), Mt. McKinley in North America, Mt. Elbrus in Europe, Mt. Kosciuzsko in Australia and Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. She is currently preparing to climb Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America and soon, Mt. Vinson in Antarctica.
